CSR? Don’t know where and how to start?

Written by Crowdera | Dec 19, 2019 11:07:01 AM

Are you keen to engage in creating major social impact via CSR but not sure where to start?

I am sure you know that Corporate Social Responsibility is more than just spending 2 percent of Net Profits!

With the CSR mandate in place, the government is trying to ensure the Indian Companies contribute to the betterment of the nation and engage in relevant social projects which are in the interest of the organization.

CSR can be a strategy to help you improve your organization’s brand perception or just a way to give back to society.

The first step to successful social impact  would definitely be to identify a cause your organization and employees relate to. Call for a meeting or share an online poll to get your employees to vote for a cause they like. This could also bring about interactions among the employees and they would be motivated to volunteer on a cause which has been chosen by them, in turn making it easier for the organization to find active volunteers to amplify your social impact goals

As per the 2017 Deloitte report, 88% of millennial are becoming increasingly sensitive to how their organizations address societal causes and believe that employers should play a vital role in alleviating these concerns, of which 86 percent believe that business success should be measured by more than profitability.

Let’s assume your employees and the senior management chose to work on the cause of the environment and plant trees across the city to help reduce pollution and build greener cityscapes.

Once the cause has been identified, I would encourage you to identify a non-profit working in your geography to support. Alternatively, you could design your own campaign and associate it with multiple non-profits to support the cause.

You may also choose one of the many campaigns on Crowdera to initiate your Social Impact Journey. Be it livelihoods, education, supporting an orphanage or anything aligned with the UNSDGs, we have it all under one roof.

Besides supporting monetarily, your organization's employees could volunteer and help in planting trees. The organization could also encourage employees to bring their friends and family to engage in societal causes and promote giving back.

You may start small, but with us you will always grow with new campaigns aligned with your organization.

If you are a mid-size organization with roughly 200 - 500 employees and willing to make bigger impacts this giving season, do not hesitate to contact us by clicking here.
